From seed to seedling

We're not teaching you how to garden our way. We're teaching you how to understand your garden.

A seed may look simple.

But once you put it in the soil, an entire conversation begins.

How much moisture does it need?
Does it have enough light?
When should you move it?
What is that tiny change telling you?

This hands-on class is about learning to observe what a seed and seedling need, rather than simply following instructions.

Meet Your Teacher

BRAD JONES

Brad, one of the Co-Founders of The Kitchen House brings his years of experience in Gardening to Garden Mindset.

Through hands-on teaching and real-world experience, Brad will guide you through the four-part series—from understanding your property and soil to starting seeds and working with the seasons.

But this isn't about giving you a rigid set of instructions to follow.

It's about learning how to observe, ask questions, understand what's happening, and make decisions for your own garden.

You'll learn directly from your teacher while working with the land, soil, seeds, compost, and plants.

This isn't just a class you sit through. It's an experience you participate in.

• What plants are communicating as they grow

Hands-On Experience

You'll start your own seeds and learn what to watch for as they develop into seedlings.

You'll experience the process yourself rather than simply watching someone else do it.

• Seeds you've started yourself

• Seedling-care resources

• An understanding of what to observe

• Confidence to continue growing at home

The goal isn't simply:

"I got a seed to sprout."

It's:

"I know what my seed needs, and I know what to look for."

$50 per person

After class, you're welcome to stay and enjoy the property.

Bring a lunch if you'd like to linger, sit under the trees, walk the property, or simply spend some time on the land.
